The topics covered last night ranged from You Tube, Twitter, Social marketing and Squidoo as a tool to drive traffic / visitors to our blog.
Alex has set all his students a task for the next two weeks we have to write about how we are getting traffic / visitors to our blog, it’s going to be a bit of a competition really, and I’m looking forward to telling you what I’ll be doing.
As you may be aware if you’ve read some of my posts I’m really into Internet Marketing and I am not one of the youngsters of the group, so if anyone out there thinks this is the domain of the young your wrong, if I can get to grips with it so can you and I’d be made up if you would send me your comments, and if you need any help in getting started let me know and I’ll do my best to help.
So now I’m visiting all the other students blogs to see what their up to and leaving them my best wishes (they’ll need them because I want to win this one)!!
If you want a copy of Alex Jeffrey’s free e-book you can collect a copy here http://www.thesmartwaytomoney.com you can click on the link safely or cut and paste it into your browser.

Hi Al
I like your comments and can agree with them. Age doesn’t matter, I am 61 and after struggling to install some plugins and google analytics into my blog finally suceeded today, you can read how on my blog at http://www.richardmoloneyblog.com
I will be doing all I can to get traffic to my blog although I feel that we have a couple os students with an unfair advantage in that they already have a large volumn of traffic to their blogs. All we can do is keep going and who knows we may overtake them.
My blog is at http://www.richardmoloneyblog.com

Hi Al
Good luck in the comp. As you are well aware, age is no barrier to this stuff.

Hi Al,
How’s the traffic plan coming along?!
I have put a post on my blog about traffic tactics that have worked for me so far. One of the best has been Squidoo. I only have one lens on there at present but it has been a high traffic source.
My youtube video has also had a lot of hits and driving traffic to my ppp. I haven’t used twiter to it’s full potential but the tweetmyblog plugin is very effective (details in my post).
Let me know what’s working for you!
All the best
Mark

Hi Al,
Congrats on getting started. You give an accurate description of what we learned in Alex’s first traffic module. I still need to write my traffic plan and get it posted, but in the meantime I am out visiting some of the new blogs out there. Thanks to Joe, we have an updated list of the folks who are just getting their blogs rolling.
Keep up the good work, you’re doing fine. It’s definitely a learning curve.
And, in response to Richards comment about some having an unfair advantage because of existant traffic: go learn from them, they’re doing something right! I think Alex mentioned that he’ll figure a way to level the field and make the competition fair.
See ya soon and I’ll add you to my blog roll, Al.
